ETC Theatre Green Book - Working Draft
The ETC Theatre Green Book (ETC TGB) is a new tool to make theatre activity sustainable - across productions, buildings and operations. It is currently in development and will be launched in 2024. The ETC TGB is a collaboration between ETC and Renew Culture, the organisation behind the successful and well-used Theatre Green Book. For the first time, it will include a self-certification system, which will make visible when a theatre has reached baseline, intermediate, or eventually advanced level of sustainability. A group of 10 ETC theatres across Europe (the ETC TGB Focus Group) is trialling the new tool in the 2023/24 season to reach baseline standard. Their reflections will be used to improve the tool before its launch in Summer 2024. READ

The 'Gender Equality in European Theatres and Artistic Programmes 2024' study is a 126-page document developed in partnership with the researchers Sarah Sepulchre, Jacinthe Mazzocchetti and Justine Vanhaelen at the UCLouvain in Belgium. The study is divided into three key sections: a literature review examining reports and research on gender equality and diversity across Europe, a detailed analysis of data from 13 theatres in 11 countries, and a series of anonymous, powerful interviews with theatre professionals at various stages in their career on equality - or lack of it - in the theatre sector.
